About the Journal

Mission Statement
The Journal of TVET Pedagogy (JTP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research, theory, and practical innovation in teaching and learning across Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The journal serves as a vital bridge connecting academic researchers, polytechnic and vocational educators, industry training partners, and education policymakers.

Scope & Key Thematic Areas

The journal welcomes original empirical research articles, systematic literature reviews, case studies, and innovative educational technical notes on topics including, but not limited to:

Instructional Strategies & Methodology: Practical teaching models, workshop and laboratory pedagogy, competency-based education (CBE), problem-based learning (PBL), and project-based training in technical disciplines.
Digitalization & Educational Technology: Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) simulations, digital twins, AI applications in skill-based instruction, online/blended vocational learning platforms, and instructional media.
Curriculum & Industry Alignment: Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), dual-system vocational training models, national vocational qualification frameworks (NVQ), and industry-institution co-design of learning outcomes.
TVET Educator Professional Development: Pedagogical skill upgrading, the transition of master-craftspersons into instructional roles, teacher leadership, and professional identity in TVET institutions.
Assessment & Authentic Evaluation: Performance-based testing, practical skill rubric design, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), and technology-enhanced skill assessment frameworks.
